PetroChina recently announced that a breakthrough has been made in the National Key R&D Program "Key Technologies for the Industrialization of High-Performance Synthetic Rubber".
The project team has recently completed the compilation of a thousand-ton-level basic process data package for butyl rubber branching agent with independent intellectual property rights, and built the first domestic star-shaped branched butyl rubber industrial siding device, and completed the water intermodal transport test, and it has the conditions for start-up.
The project addresses the problems of domestic tires with low fuel efficiency, low safety levels, and short service life of the vulcanization bladder of the core components of tire manufacturing. It focuses on the molecular design of functionalized solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber and its sequence structure control principle, the disassociation mechanism of rare earth catalyst active centers and Scientific issues such as the mechanism of high-cis directional reversible chain transfer polymerization of butadiene, the primary/secondary bromination reaction mechanism of bromobutyl rubber in high-efficiency micro-mixing flow fields, and breakthroughs in molecular design and controllable synthesis of high-performance rubber materials, key equipment And key technologies such as engineering, tire and capsule manufacturing formulas and production processes to realize the industrialization of high-performance synthetic rubber.
Up to now, the project has established the world’s first 10,000-ton-class butyl rubber bromination micro-reaction industrial production device, breaking the monopoly of multinational companies in the core reaction equipment of halogenated butyl rubber, and pioneering micro-chemical technology in the field of synthetic rubber. The application is the first to develop a long-life curing bladder manufacturing formula and process, extending the service life of the curing bladder to 613 times, far exceeding the industry average of 400 times.
