Introduction of wild rubber
Natural rubber is usually obtained from rubber trees that grow in the tropics, and the raw rubber in these rubber trees is usually in a milky form.
However, there are many kinds of plants that can produce natural rubber in nature, including trees, shrubs, vines and herbaceous plants. Some raw gums do not exist in the state of magma, but in a solidified state, mainly in the bark of the root, and a small part in the bark of the trunk.
They are distributed in the Amazon River Basin, the Malaysian Archipelago and tropical Asia, the east and west coasts of Africa, South America, Mexico, and Central America, Brazil and other regions.
There are hundreds of known wild gums. Usually, although raw gums belong to the same plant family, they have different names due to different production methods. There are Indian ficus rubber, cassava rubber, clover rubber, American rubber, aromatic rattan rubber, Keqi rattan rubber, flower bark rattan rubber, Eucommia rattan rubber, rice concentrate rubber, cow tree and milk tree and dandelion rubber.
Production of wild glue:
In South America, latex is collected from June to February of the following year. The process of making wild gum from latex is as follows:
Insert a wooden stick into the latex, then gradually dry the latex film adhering to the wooden stick and smoke it with a fire. This process is repeated several times, so that the glue layer gradually accumulates into large pieces of smoked raw glue.
Wet wood and coconut husks can be used to make fires. This fuel decomposes a large amount of various phenols and other anti-corrosion substances in the state of incomplete combustion. These substances are also good chemical stabilizers, which can prevent the aging of raw rubber and its products. Then the lumps of wild glue are sent to the rubber factory, washed with a glue washing machine, and then dried.
