Magnesium hydroxide is an inorganic weak base product. As an environmental protection product, due to its excellent performance, it has occupied the first few places in the consumption of magnesium hydroxide.
The preparation method of magnesium hydroxide includes:
1. Physical pulverization method Physical pulverization method refers to the direct pulverization of ore, through dry coarse grinding and wet ultrafine grinding, to obtain magnesium hydroxide products of the required particle size grade. The more commonly used ore is brucite.
2. Ore calcination and hydration method In this method, ore is calcined, and the prepared magnesium oxide is hydrated to prepare magnesium hydroxide, which is a process of magnesium oxide dissolution and magnesium hydroxide precipitation, wherein the dissolution of magnesium oxide is a control step. Due to the different ore compositions, magnesite is more commonly used.
3. Liquid phase precipitation method There are two sources of raw materials for this method, one is that magnesite, dolomite, serpentine, etc. are treated by acid hydrolysis or other methods to obtain magnesium salt, which is subjected to precipitation reaction with alkali to prepare hydroxide magnesium. One is to prepare magnesium hydroxide by precipitation reaction of magnesium salt obtained from seawater, salt lake water and well brine with alkali.
